2023 Season Opening

2023 Registrations Now Open!

Kingsway United Christian Football Club (KUCFC) player registrations are open. We would like to invite players that are interested in playing in the 2023 season to visit our website and register now. Places will be limited and teams will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Click here for age categories, registration links and other important information.

Please note:

  • Under 12 to Under 19 (Colts) teams get a training jersey, socks and shorts included as part of the registration fee. Training jerseys will be ordered from Puma this year, so please refer to the sizing chart as you will need to specify sizes as part of the registration process.
  • Under 12s playing format has changed to align with Football West and Football Federation Australia guidelines. This means the Under 12s format will be as per the Under 10s MiniRoos format. To give you an understanding of what the changes mean, the under 12s will play on a smaller pitch, have smaller goals and no offsides will be given during the match.

With the above changes we have opened 2 x Under 13 teams which will continue to play in the full rules format.

We are encouraging girls aged 13 to 17 to register and represent KUCFC in an all girls team.

We are also after some coaches to enable all of our teams to participate. The following teams which require coaches are: 1 x U6, 2 x U8s, 2 x U10s, 1 xU16 Girls. We strongly encourage parents to volunteer being a coach as without coaches we have no teams and the club’s future strength and depth is impacted. New and existing coaches will be supported and mentored by experienced and knowledgeable existing club coaches and each new coach will be provided with an information pack which has sample training drills and advice on coaching to specific year groups.

Training for MiniRoos (U6 to U12) is on a Thursday afternoon at the school while full rules (U12 to U19) will be on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon/evening at Shelvock Park in Koondoola.

If you would like more information about our club please email enquiries@kingswayunited.com.

Kingsway United CFC News – April 2022

Hi Everyone

On behalf of the Committee we would like to extend a warm welcome to all Players and Parents!  We have once again had a fantastic response to registrations and the 2022 Season is now fast approaching.  It has been a busy off-season and we are now looking forward to getting the season underway.

As always, there is a lot of information to communicate therefore please ensure you read through this Newsletter to keep up to date.

Sponsors

We would like to formally acknowledge our generous Sponsor for the 2022 Season,

Jenkins Physiotherapy.

Sponsorship is very important to our club and we encourage all of our families to support our sponsor wherever possible.  For more information regarding Jenkins Physiotherapy, please follow the link below to their website – jenkinsphysio.com.au

WACFA Opening Ceremony Day

Our season will officially open on the 30th April with the Opening Ceremony at Maida Vale Reserve at 10:30am.

Not only will this be a great day of celebration but it is an opportunity to gather with other clubs and commit the season to the Lord.  As a club, we would love to see as many players and parents as possible attend the Opening Ceremony to show the colours of Kingsway United Christian Football Club.

Many teams will have a fixtured game either before or after the opening ceremony, which is a great way for the players to kick off the 2022 season.  This fixture is part of the regular season.

All players are to meet no later than 10:20am next to the KUCFC banners so that all players and coaches can assemble on the ground together as a club.  All players must wear their playing uniform for the Opening Ceremony.

2022 Fixtures

Fixtures for each age group will be available on Team App through WACFA. To access Team APP:

  1. Download ‘Team App’ from the iTunes App Store, google play store, it is also available in website format
  2. Search for ‘WACFA’ as your club
  3. Request permission to join. Members are accepted daily.

Home grounds will be Chichester Park for MiniRoos, U12’s and U14’s. Home ground for U16’s, Colts and our Men’s team is Santiago Park.

Chichester Park Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the Chichester clubrooms is now underway.  The existing toilet/changerooms block has been demolished and we have been provided with temporary amenities which are located near pitch 2 on the Eastern side of the grounds (just off Standish Way – see map below).

The car park on Trappers Drive has been impacted by the works and the number of car park bays has been reduced, however the City of Joondalup have created new on-street parking bays on Trappers Drive and Standish Way.  Please be mindful that parking is not permitted in the cul de sacs around Chichester Park or on residents’ verges as this will restrict the local residents’ access.  Parking fines may be issued by City Rangers.

Team Playing Uniforms

Team Playing uniforms (and practice uniforms for MiniRoos) will be distributed by the coaches for each team.  Please remember that the playing shirts are the property of the club and must be returned to your Coaches at the end of the season.

Parent Participation

Junior sport is heavily reliant on participation by all parents.  We have some fantastic volunteers in the club that give up their valuable time to ensure our children have an opportunity to be involved and active.  As the club grows, we are always in desperate need for more helpers therefore we would encourage you to seek out a club representative to provide your details along with what types of activities you are able to assist with over the season.

Some Other Things To Note

  • Social Media Policy – please ensure you have familiarized yourself with our social media policy, particularly in regards to posting photos. The policy can be viewed here
  • As per the past couple of seasons, the club will continue to schedule the U16 Boys volunteer referees for the U8 and U10 home games. Parents are requested to please support these junior referees at ALL times even when they make a mistake!

That is all for now.  We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our players and their families all the best for the season and we look forward to seeing you all in your “team colours” cheering loudly for your teams.

God Bless
KUCFC Committee.
